He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Kaye (Stephen) of Crete, NE; his wife Sharon K Melander of Hebron, NE; his brother Gary Powell (Betty) of Lincoln, NE; his children, Douglas Powell (Melanie) of Hebron, NE and Rebecca Degenhardt (Max) of Hebron, NE; and his grandchildren, Tim Melander (Karla) of Farmersville, TX, Vicki Maschmeier (Buddy) of Columbus, NE, Jay Melander (Diane) of Beaufort, SC, Debra Smith (Ron) of Lincoln, NE and Jodi Dewey (Marc) of Beatrice, NE. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
