He was predeceased by: his mother Wilhelmina (Minnie); his wife Jeanette Griffith; his grandson Scott Lauer; his siblings, Irene Janssen and Melvin Lauer; and his parents-in-law, Raymond Janssen, Dalilah Lauer, LaVon Lauer, Jolene Lauer, David Griffith (Diane), LaVern Griffith, Georgana Griffith, Irene Oliver (Tom) and Dorothy Mangis.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Lauer of Brule, NE, Dan Lauer (Teresa) of Norton, KS, Sherri Stewart (Garon) of Ogallala, NE, Terri Commins (Brian) of Ogallala, NE and Angie Mueting (Steve) of Aurora, CO; and his grandchildren, Jessie Lauer of Brule, NE, Joy Mitchell (Dustin), Sean Lauer (Peggy), Brock Lauer (Kourtney), Baylee Stewart, Payton Stewart, Brittney Commins, Rylan Commins (Samantha), Chelsey Talbott, Kylee Commins and Jaedy Commins. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, in-laws, and friends.
Memorials are suggested to Gothenburg Senior Center, Trinity Lutheran Church in Gothenburg, or St. John's Lutheran Church in Ogallala in memory of Bob.
