It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Goings of Gothenburg, Nebraska, born in Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away on January 29, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Edgar and Hazel Irene Goings (Ranz); his former wife Sue; and his stepson-in-law Gary Kruse. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn of Gothenburg; his children, Karen Goings of Cozad, Julie Rashid (Rashid Hameed) of Minnesota, Paul Goings (Carrie) of Omaha and Kevin Goings (Brooklyn) of South Dakota; and his stepchildren, Antonio Dishman Sr. of Gothenburg, Dana Dishman (Becky) of Gothenburg, Kayleen Canas (Tony) of Cozad and Angie Kruse of Gothenburg. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, along with many extended family and friends.
Memorials may be given to Meals on Wheels, the Gothenburg Senior Center, or the Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church.
