It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Vollmer of Falls City, Nebraska, who passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles F. Werner and Elizabeth Werner (Wilhelm); her husband Harold; her daughter Lynett Wood; her son-in-law Kenneth Shurtleff; her brothers, Charles, Robert and Edwin Werner; her siblings-in-law, Richard "Dick" Pickard, Harvey Vollmer, Gerald Nolte, Colleen Werner and Donna Vollmer; and her nephews, David Werner, Richard Werner and Timothy Pickard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Leann Nelson (James) of Aurora, NE and Barbara Shurtleff; her son-in-law Timothy Wood (Stephanie) of Livermore, CO; her grandchildren, Anthony Shafer, Rachel, Dylan Wood, Rebecca Dial (Austin) of Lexington, SC, Derek Shurtleff and Bradyn Wood of Hays, KS.; her great grandchildren, Lily Sailors and Carson Dial of Lexington, SC.; her sister Anita Pickard; and her sisters-in-law, Norma Werner, Dorothy Nolte and Caroline Werner. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
