She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Novacek and Emma Novacek (Hamsa); her husband Benjamin; her daughter Jean Syring; her brother Elmer Novacek; and her great grandchildren, Stephanie Syring and Calvin Sundberg.
She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Messing (John) of Shelby, Teresa Fricke of Pleasant Valley, MO, Marcia Dittfurth (Larry), Dan Fricke (Darcee) of Lincoln and Mary Parker (Matt) of Harrison, NE; her son-in-law Ben Syring of David City; her brothers, Adolph Novacek (Joan) and Marland Novacek (Phyllis); and her sister-in-law Catherine Novacek. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
