He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Kalkwarf and Helen Kalkwarf; his brother Larry Kalkwarf; his sister-in-law Donna Kalkwarf; his parent-in-law Fred Dittmer; his siblings-in-law, Delores Dittmer and Loren Plouzek; and also Mollie Dittmer.
He is survived by: his wife Jean of Crete; his children, Lori Ann Svehla (Tom) of Lincoln, Mark Allen Kalkwarf (Diane) of Crete and Todd Eric Kalkwarf of Crete; his grandchildren, Megan Nicole Svehla of Lincoln and Brandon Scott Kalkwarf of Crete; his brothers, Jerome Kalkwarf of Crete, Roger Kalkwarf (Susie) of Lincoln and Rod Kalkwarf (Donna) of Seward; his sister-in-law Pat Plouzek of Milford; and his nieces and nephews, Laurie Lindschmidt, Dale Hansen, Ron Kalkwarf, Greg Kalkwarf (Kirsta), Candi Owens, Trevor Kalkwarf (Sonja), Amber Bass (Shane), Karmin Clish (Brian), Krista Mullins (Joe), Peggy Diaz (Tom), Julie Blow (Jeff), Cheryl Plouzek and Doug Plouzek (Heather).
