She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Thielen and Bernice Thielen (Kerwin); her husband Richard Nelsen; her brother Tom Thielen; her parents-in-law, Fred and Tess Nelsen; and her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Johnson and Karma Nelsen.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Nelsen (Bonnie), Eric Nelsen (Shawney) and Jill Nelsen; her grandchildren, Jake Nelsen (Stephanie), Casey Nelsen (Julie), Tara Cunningham (Kenny), Dalton Nelsen, Nicole Nelsen, Nathan Nelsen (Kaylee), Jaiden Nelsen, Kamden Wellman and Ian Schmeeckle (Taylor Schmeeckle); and her siblings-in-law, Bruce Nelsen, Ronald Johnson and Evelyn Thielen. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
