He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin M. Holbrook and Amalia Molly Holbrook (Strackbein); and his brother Dave "Stoney" Holbrook. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Joan Schultz; his children, Angela Marie (Adam) of Funk, NE, Amalia Halouska (Ed) of Sterling, CO and Simon "Rocky" Holbrook (Angie) of Willow Island, NE; his grandchildren, Zachary Schwarz (Stacey), Jeffery Schwarz, Kamron Coble, Gregory Coble, Mackenzie Coble, Jacob Halouska (Robyn), Joshua Halouska, Victoria Koeller (Vincent), Alexandrea Halouska, David Garza (Ashley), Neatasha Owens (Brandon), Julie Garza, Pracilla Huertas (Brandon), Quintel Holbrook, Natalya Holbrook and Patricia Holbrook; and his siblings, Kathy Holbrook, Gene Holbrook (Bonnie), Mick Holbrook (Jean) and Paul Holbrook. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
