She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Simmons; her grandson Troy Simmons; her parents, Elmer Griffith and Lillie Griffith; and her siblings, Carl, Barbara Foushee, Alydia Heading and Genevive Moore (Jenny).
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis (Vicky) of Alliance, Terry (Lori) of Kearney, NE and Dale (Kris) of Norfolk, NE.; her grandchildren, Marc (Melissa), Cory, Kyle (Jenny), Tyler (Sara), Chad, Kaden, Heather, Tobi Moore (Jarrod) and Kayla Singleton (Jake); and her brother Lanora Jean Cornett.
A memorial has been established for the Chadron Rescue Unit and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
