She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Forsyth and Florence Forsyth; her husband Eldon Root; and her sisters, Lois Sharp, Marjorie Forsyth and Kathryn Oltman.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Espada (Angel) of Aibonito, PR, Marlene Frimodt (Dale) of Omaha, Fred Root (Marilyn) of Holmesville, William Root (Penny) of Scotia and Jonathan Root (Diane) of Central City; and her sisters, Lucille Steele of Beatrice, Pauline Grosbach of Enders, June Switzer (Ed) of McPherson, KS and Rosanna Johnson (LaVane) of Eagle. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Nebraska Christian Schools or Heartland Evangelical Free Church.
