It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leora Katherine Kniep (Byron, Nebraska), who passed away on August 30, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Heitmann and Louise Heitmann (Hellmer); her son Curtis; her grandson Zachary Anderson; and her brother Orvil Heitmann (Wilber Kniep).
She is survived by: her husband Wilber Kniep; her children, Maurice Kniep (Connie) of Lincoln, Verona Anderson (Steve) of Hastings, Douglas Kniep of Byron and Kenneth Kniep (Rhea) of Lincoln; her great grandchildren, Joel Kniep (Yuanting), Jillian of Englewood, CO, Jay Kniep of San Jose, CA, Justin Kniep (Heather), Claire, Miles of Chandler, AZ, Lindsay Seim (Jackson), Deacon, Bowen of Elkhorn, NE, Nicholas Burkhardt (Mattie), Beck of Lincoln and Jacob Kniep of Phoenix, AZ; her sisters, Ruby Eggers of Hebron and Alice Eggers of Ruskin; and her sisters-in-law, Luetta Wenske of Byron and Margaret Anne Kniep of Imperial, NE. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.
