He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorna Hering and Albert Hering; and his sisters, Jean Smith, Joan Tatum and Penny Carlyon.

He is survived by: his sister Alberta Stauffer of Broken Bow. He is also survived by numerous cousins and countless friends.
