It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Pauline (Broken Bow, Nebraska), born in Stapleton, Nebraska, who passed away on March 25, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raleigh Reynolds and Ruth Reynolds (Ervin); and her husbands, Elmer Stephens and Steven Haumont. She is survived by: her children, Carol Mathis (Gerald) of Elida, NM and Kenneth Stephens (Marilyn) of Valentine; her grandchildren, Randi Hromas (Gary) of Lincoln, Rhonda Lichtenberg (Joe) of Omaha, Jason Mathis (Candy) of Atkinson, Stacy Derrick (Joe) of Roswell, NM, Marty Mathis (Erin) of Amistad, NM, Kendra Wright (Jason) of Olathe, KS, Melissa Stephens of Valentine and Kayla Stephens of Valentine; her stepchildren, Kay Rossmiller (Roland) and Darrel Haumont of Broken Bow; and her brother-in-law Roy Stephens of Vancouver, WA. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
