He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Thompson and Opal Thompson (Olson); and his wife Roberta "Bert". He is survived by: his sons, Jim Thompson (Cathy) of Anselmo and Mike Thompson (Beth) of Shirley, IN; his siblings, Doris Thompson of Minden and Pete Thompson of Manzenita, OR; and his brother-in-law Loren McMillan (Jane) of Martin, SD.. He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
