He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Aldag and Doris Aldag (Aldag); his stepfather Arden Smith; and his nephew Greg Smith. He is survived by: his wife Janice Carstens of Battle Creek; his children, Vickie Hrabanek (John) of Battle Creek and Terry Aldag (Patricia) of Norfolk; his grandchildren, Megan Eckert (Justin), Jay Aldag, Travis Aldag (Morgan), Nicole Kuk (Scott), Kendra Nickeson (Robbie), Alex Aldag and Skye Schott (Nic); his brother Scott Smith (Joanie); his nephew Adam Smith (Allysia); his niece Cara Myung; and his great grandchildren, Abby, Olivia Eckert, Brenna, Cooper Kuk, Taylynn, Paisley, Blakely Aldag, Peyton, Kendall, Deklyn Aldag, Mia Nickeson, Jamie, Dana Aldag, Suttynn, Sydnee and Sylvia Schott.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (305 S 2nd St, Battle Creek, NE 68715). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
