She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Hawthorne and Jacquline Hawthorne (Shaffer); her former husband Matthew Seder; and her brother Richard Shaffer. She is survived by: her son Dustin Seder (Keisha) of Florida; her grandchildren, Elaina and Amaya Seder; her brothers, Charles Hawthorne, Dennis Hawthorne and Steve Shaffer; and her friend Shirley Allen.
