He is survived by: his son Dale Earnhardt, Jr.; his sister Tonja Petersen-Anderson (George) of Pocahontas; and his nieces, Emma of Pocahontas, Olivia of Pocahontas and Julia of Pocahontas. He is also survived by several other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family that will be directed for congenital heart defects.
