She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Jim McDonald; her husband Jerry Vanderheiden of Aurora; her mother Marilyn McDonald of Aurora; her children, David Vanderheiden of Columbus, Ashley Lantis (James) of Lincoln and Todd Vanderheiden of Waco; and her sister Karen Svoboda (Dennis) of Lincoln. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Deb requested that memorials be made to the Heartland Cancer Foundation or Aurora Adopt-A-Pet in her memory.
