He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Deborah Ann Gaffney; his mother Shirley Neilson; his father-in-law Leland Gaffney; his grandparents, Ace Neilson (Carrie), Charlie Cartwright (Rhea), Orville Gaffney (Leoma) and Theodore Hauserman (Evelyn); his wife Deb Neilson of Alma; his children, Erin Williams (Phil) of Omaha, Nebraska and Jeremy Neilson (Brittany) of Denver, Colorado; his grandchildren, Solomon, Wesley Williams and Noah Neilson; his father Jerry Neilson (Susan) of Bigfork, Montana; his brothers, Jeff Neilson (Cortney) of Sherman, Texas, Dane Neilson (Becky) of San Antonio, Texas and Van Neilson of Paris, Texas; his mother-in-law Linda Gaffney of Holdrege; his siblings-in-law, Kevin Gaffney (Jane) of Carson City, Nevada and Pam Jons (Bob) of Holdrege; and his former wife Vicki Rivard of Papillion, Nebraska. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
