He was predeceased by: his siblings, Shirley Kendrick, Margaret Hamel, Barbara Breazile, LeAnn Wurtele, Donovan Porter and Lyle Porter.
He is survived by: his siblings, Don and Grace Porter (Wilson); his former wife Alice Larson; his wife Barbara Casper of Alma; his children, Jerre Porter (Kayleen Logan) of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Jeanette Marfield (Jim) of Platte City, Missouri and Jennifer Byarlay (Doug) of Randolph, Kansas; his grandchildren, Erikka Jehle (Cole), Andrea Villafuerte (Jorge), Allison Hanks (Aaron), James Marfield (Theresa), Jason Marfield (Marissa), Dr. Ashlin Porter (Mark Romanczyk), Chelsea Laughlin, Dr. Shelby Porter, Colby Byarlay (Sarah), Eric Byarlay and Ariel Divilbiss (Whit); his great grandchildren, Isaac, Anthony, Natalie Rose Villafuerte and Ailish Laughlin; his brother Rod Porter of Fort Collins, Colorado; and his sister-in-law Shirley Porter of Casper, Wyoming. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial has been established in Max's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
