He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Collins and Irma Collins; and his wives, Phyllis and Anne. He is survived by: his daughter Lanna Lee Bishop (Paul); his grandsons, Andy Bishop (Kristen) of Grand Island, Nebraska and Rob Bishop (Katie) of Fremont, Nebraska; his great grandchildren, Riley of Addy and Adam; his sister Carol Boden of Burlington; his nephew John Boden of Smith Center, Kansas; and his niece Melissa Kleweno of Burlington.
