It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Keaton Nelson (West Fargo, North Dakota), born in Fargo, North Dakota, who passed away on December 17, 2019, at the age of 13, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfather Monte Peterson; and his great-grandparents, Jackie Langer, Jean Nelson, MarJean, Jack Peterson, Elaine and Lee Walker.

He is survived by: his parents, Jason Nelson and Kristen Peterson; his brother Cooper; his grandparents, Sherry Somsen (Steve) of Courtenay, ND, Melissa Peterson of West Fargo and Wayne Nelson (Rhonda) of Tower City, ND; and his great-grandparent Raymond Langer of West Fargo. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

“I am going to miss keaton terribly because he was a really close friend of mine and had great memories. I found out he passed away because i realized that he had not been online for over a month and has not been replying to any of my xbox messages. So i searched up his name and almost fainted when i saw this site for "keaton nelson" i was in tears and had trouble sleeping that night knowing that one of my best friends is now gone. I only found out yesterday. R.i.p. -william m”

“I am from New York USA. My real name is William and i am 13 years old. I have been online best friends with Keaton for probably 2 and a half to 3 years i would say, or possibly even 4. You may have heard Keaton talking to me whenever he would play Xbox sometimes and we would play Minecraft, Fortnite, and maybe some other games i don't recall playing. I was really sad once i found out he had cystic fibrosis over a year ago because i didnt know he was diagnosed with any disease.”
