He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rutten and Elizabeth Rutten; and his siblings, Gladys, Verny, Helen, Tillie, Hazel, Con, Dick, Tony and Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Delores; his children, Dan Rutten of Mapleton, Bob Rutten (Sally) of Christine, Debbie Anstadt (Jim) of Frazee, MN, John Rutten (Peggy) of Mapleton and Evelyn Rutten of West Fargo; his grandchildren, Sheri Rough, Missy Krabbe, Brandon Rutten, Kristi Allen, Amber Kiefat, Lindsey Fromm, Mindi Rutten, Lacey Gebeke, Adam Rutten, Anna Molstre and Alec Rutten; his sisters, Grace Fridgen and Emily Anderson; and his pet Walter. He is also survived by 4 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren.
