He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Zacher; and his father-in-law Ed Breehl, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Arlene A. Zacher (Hanzal) of Parshall; his wife Alyson Breehl; his daughter Kiera A. Zacher of Columbus; his siblings, Wanda Olsen (Bruce) of Cando, ND, Bryon Zacher (Lois) of Parshall, ND, Brad Zacher (Carol) of Parshall, ND and Chris Zacher (Ruth) of Parshall, ND; his mother-in-law Sondra Breehl of New Philadelphia; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Breehl, Jr. (Chris) of New Philadelphia and Vicki Breehl of New Philadelphia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
