It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Doty Jr. of Oakes, North Dakota, born in Canova, South Dakota, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Sr. Doty and Vira Doty (Carpenter); and his siblings, Nathan and Sharon Hurt. He is survived by: his siblings, Karen Swearingen (Jack) of Crete, ND, Diane Baldwin (Brad) of Grand Junction, CO and Wayne Doty (Kathy) of Oakes, ND. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews.
