She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Andreas and Anna Emma Neiber (Gregor); her husband John Griggs; her son Dale Griggs; her granddaughter Brenda Peterson; and her siblings, Mary, Anna, Emma, Kate, Louise, Joe and Jerome.
She is survived by: her son John J. Griggs (Joayne) of Fargo, ND; her daughter-in-law Nola Griggs of Fargo; and her grandchildren, Teresa Griggs, Jerry Griggs (Kathy), Wesley Griggs (Stacy), Brad Griggs and Bobbi Jo Griggs. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
