She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Hankel; and her parents, George and Alvina. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Marie, Kathy Hankel of York, ME and Kristie Hankel of Sioux Falls, SD; her sister-in-law Gladys Felix (Hankel) of Aberdeen; and also Kellar. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many special friends.

In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorials be sent to either the Oakes City Library %Jeannie Pahl, City Librarian, 804 Main Street, Oakes, ND 58474 or the Oakes Volunteer Ambulance, 615 Ivy Ave., Oakes, ND 58474.
