She was predeceased by: her parents, Reinhard Welters and Mary Welters (Beckers); her husband Felix Essler; her granddaughter Heidi Petrick; and her siblings, Helen, Hildegarde, Roselia, Albert, Lawrence and Herman.
She is survived by: her children, Judy, Marilyn Titus (Paul), Mark Essler (Carol), Leon Essler, Elaine Petrick (Steve), Barbara Doty (Gary), Dennis Essler (Kae), Rodney Essler (Connie), Carol Dinius (Denny), Michael Essler (Renae), Steven Essler (Josie), Jeffrey Essler (Christen), Mary Roll (Brent), Julie Garneau (Pat) and Philip Essler. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren.
