He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Lynn Bryans; his brothers-in-law, Dan Mason and David Gray; and his granddaughters, Katelyn Harris and Elizabeth Harris.
He is survived by: his spouse Leah Ann Rude; his child Brian Leo; his wife Susan; his children, Bobbi Jo Charnetzki, Brian Charnetzki (Briana), Melissa Harris (Tim), Donald Helwig (Carri), Charles Helwig (Christy) and April Helwig (Shannon Greeley); his siblings, Ernie Charnetzki (Carol), Claudette Nelson (Ronnie), Jo Ann Nelson (Butch) and Beverly Mason; his siblings-in-law, Gary Bryans (Jean), Sandra Erickson and Linda Gray-Burgaard (Richard); his grandchildren, Michael Nelson, Chelsea Nelson, Brittany Klein (Joel), Patrick Harris, Justine Pulac, Brittany Kraska (Blaine), Stetson Helwig, Peyton Helwig, Elise Helwig, Hannah Gottschall and Logan Stroklund; and his great grandchild Landon Klein. He is also survived by numerous cousins and several nieces, nephews, and aunts.
