He was predeceased by: his parent Anna Hoerner Renner Smith; and his siblings, Florence Berger (Paul), Elaine Renner, Anna Hoernor (Otto), Leo Renner (Agnes), Jake Renner (Sandy) and Joe Renner.

He is survived by: his son Pat; and his sister Martha Marquart. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
