He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Thorstad and Arleen Thorstad (Nodland); his siblings, Evelyn Snyder (Thorstad), Allen and Michael Thorstad; and his brother-in-law Fred Snyder.
He is survived by: his children, Joelle Vannatta (Devin) of Windsor, CO, Jerry Thorstad (Margaret "Peggy") of Erie, CO and Deb Wolfe of Dickinson, ND; his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Tanner, Dylan, CaSarah, Hannah, Amber (Erik), John, Eliana and Micah; his great grandchildren, Jaxx, Jylz, Emersyn and Benjamin; his siblings, Gordon Thorstad (Anita) of Tucson, AZ, Ron Thorstad (Cynthia) of Denver, CO, Lyman Larson (Patricia) of Boise, ID and Norma Thorstad Knapp of Alexandria, MN; and his uncle George Nodland (Kayleen) of Dickinson, ND. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
