We bid farewell to Karen Rae Ludwig (Devils Lake, North Dakota), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 26, 2025 at the age of 85. Karen Rae touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Watterson and Gertrude Watterson (Young); her son Cory; her granddaughter Whitney Jo Ludwig; her nephew James Stoe; her in-laws, Teresa and Bernard Ludwig; her sister Claudia; and her brothers-in-law, Roger "Bud" Stoe and Jim Lee.
She is survived by: her husband Cliff; her sons, Michael (Deb) of Fountain Hills, AZ and Dale (Cindy) of Minot, ND; her grandchildren, Dustyn Ludwig of Prior Lake, MN, Danyelle Pollock (Tristan) of Reno, NV, Ericka Rose (Tyrell) of Grand Forks, ND, Rande Ludwig of Fargo, ND and Deryck Ludwig (Shelby Gillam) of Fort Worth, TX; her great grandchildren, Carter Rose, Brooklyn Rose, Delta Pollock and Callie Rose; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Lee, Robert and Marcy Ludwig. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gilbertson Funeral Home (509 U. S. Rte 2, Devils Lake, ND 58301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (517 4th St NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301).
