He was predeceased by: his aunt Rachel Bueligen; and his great-grandparents, Richard, Barbara Zachmeier (Meek), Fern Bueligen (Hagerott), John, Margaret Schaf (Leingang), Hans and Renate Koch (Bauer).
He is survived by: his parents, Chris Schaf of Mandan and Chantel Schaf (Bueligen) of Mandan; his sister Ana Schaf; his grandparents, Clyde Schaf, Birgit Schaf (Koch), Jill (Zachmeier), Morris Magnus, Delvin and Becki Bueligen (Anderson); his aunt Naomi Marks (Ryan Michel); his cousins, Elliot, Emma and Eva Marks; his uncle Justin Bueligen; his cousin Brooklynne Bueligen; his uncles, Alex (Schaf), Robert Beaubien and John; his aunt Lindsay (Leingang); his cousins, Johnathan and Evelyn Schaf; and his stepgreat-grandparent Char Anderson (Paulson).
Memorials are preferred to the family that will be used at a later date to create a memorial for Max. Max's wonderful and giving spirit lives on through his gift of organ donation.
