She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Vokenroth and Helen Vokenroth (Schultz); and her siblings, Agnes and Rudy. She is survived by: her husband Larry Zimney of Bismarck; her sons, Lee Zimney (Jamie) of Bismarck and Steve Zimney (Lindsay) of Bismarck; her grandson Benny Zimney; and her nieces, Lisa Entzminger of Jamestown, ND and Amy Entzminger of Duluth, MN..

In lieu of flowers, her family prefers memorials in her name to the Central Dakota Humane Society or the Bismarck-Mandan Salvation Army.
