He was predeceased by: his father Michael Burchinal; his brother Ezra Burchinal; his father-in-law Lowell Ray Johnson; his cousin Trent Haadem; his uncles, ElRoy Haadem and Tilman Haadem; and his grandparents, Carrol, Darlene Burchinal, Roy, Gladys Haadem, Omer and Irene Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Missi Burchinal; his son Caleb Hansen (Samantha); his grandchildren, Aspyn and Eastyn; his children, Jacob Hansen (Lakken Remmick), Mikayla Hansen and Makenna Burchinal; his mother Gay Ann Haadem; his brother Uriah Burchinal (Bobbie); and his nieces and nephews, Taylor, Alyson, Katelynn and Christopher.

Josh lives on through the gift of organ donations and was able to grant approximately 160 Christmas wishes.
