He was predeceased by: his father John Gierke, Jr.; his wife Shari Lachenmeier; and his stepbrother Bryan Gaschk. He is survived by: his mother Vivian Gaschk; and his siblings, Mark Gierke and Terri Burns (Stewart). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
