He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Schulz and Christine Schulz (Miller); his wife Shirley Carlson; his son Jeffery; and his daughter-in-law Sandy.
He is survived by: his son Todd; and his grandchildren, Alexandra and Jerome of Bismarck.
