James Maskey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Maskey of Bismarck, North Dakota, born in Port Huron, Michigan, who passed away on February 22, 2024 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Jim Maskey Sr.; his grandparents, Jerome, Theresa Maskey, Leo and Frances Meldrum; and his stepfather-in-law Stuart Klefstad.
He is survived by: his mother Rita Maskey (Meldrum) of Frasier, MI; his wife Amanda Maskey (Haas); his brother Josh Maskey (Carmen) of Fenton, MI; his nieces and nephews, Avery, Sydney, Ian, Aubrey and Elliot; his parents-in-law, Shirley Klefstad and Gary Haas; his sister-in-law Tami Langstaff of Austin, MN; his nephews, Jacob Langstaff and Samuel Langstaff; his in-laws, Megan Suko (Dustin), Theif, Sarah Syverson Thompson (Cole) and Carly Loehstrater (Sam); and his grandmother-in-law Sydney Haas Tolna. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was the recipient of many awards and grants, including a National Science Foundation STEM grant.
