She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Bachmeier and Katherine Bachmeier (Schmaltz); her husband LaVerne Simons; her grandchildren, Zachary Smith and Angela Smith; and her siblings, Betty Dickey, Mary Eva Kramer, Julia Kramer, Magdalena Bachmeier, Dorothy Weigel, Amelia Brown, Esther Goldade, Jacob Bachmeier, Casper Bachmeier and Ludvig Bachmeier.
She is survived by: her former husband Gordon Fosness; her daughters, Donna Jost, Charlotte Reister, Rhonda Fosness and Roxanne Gardner (Arlin); and her siblings, Adeline Bonn, Caroline Heilman, Gertrude Aabrekke, Janice Phillips and Gabriel Bachmeier. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
