It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Georgiana Hoirup of Bismarck, North Dakota, born in Howard, South Dakota, who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Mentele and Bertha Mentele (Sherman); her husband Pete; and her siblings, Donald Mentele and Virginia Korkowski.
She is survived by: her children, Maurice Johnson of Centennial, CO, Sharon Lehman (Leonard) of Kenmare, ND, Marilyn Brunner (Rick) of Mohall, ND and Kathy Lewis (Gary) of Grass Valley, CA; her grandchildren, Stacey Thelen (Keith), David Lehman, Matthew Lehman (Jessica), Chad Brunner (Dana Thoreson), Michelle Brunner, Chris Brunner (Andrea), Allison Morris (Jason) and Justin Melby (Dana Yellow Bird); her brother Terry Mentele (Linda) of Long Prairie, MN; and her son Robby. She is also survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
