It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diantha Nodland of Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Axel B. Challgren and Marjorie Challgren (Lundin); her spouse Laverne H. Nodland (Bud); her parents-in-law, Tennis and Esther Nodland (Folven); and her siblings, Dwain Challgren, James Challgren, Marlene Poitevent and Lorrane Thorson.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Nodland (Gene Palmisano), Angela Heaton (Timothy) and Charles Nodland; her grandsons, Ryan Preszler (Jamie), Tyler Preszler (Abby), Daniel Heaton (Crystal Karlstad), Matthew Heaton (Mateena), Benjamin Heaton (Megan) and Eric Nodland (Mallory Woodcock); her great grandchildren, Carson Preszler, Beau Preszler, Ewen Heaton, Rylee Heaton, Kodee Heaton and Jake Heaton; her brother Col. Stanley Challgren; and her sisters-in-law, Thelma Stene, Suzie Forde and Yvonne Gemaehlich.
