He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Miller Jones and Rowan A. Jones of Forsyth County; his daughter Lori Geneva Hamrick; and his siblings, Helen Comer, Mildred Boyter, Elma Hege, Elsie Cude, Ina Rose Seagraves, Doris Guy, Lester Jones and George Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Lola Lawing Jones; his daughters, Cindy Spear (Steve) of Lexington and Annette (Lewis) of Boonville; his grandchildren, Samuel Spear (Melinda), Abraham Spear, Sarah Hamrick (Josh Kellogg), Justin Welborn (Jessica) and Alex Hamrick (Claire); his great grandchildren, Conner, William, Isabelle Lola and Eleanor; his brother Max A. Jones (Carol) of Harmony; and his pet Bo. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
