She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Claire Simmons-Nicholson (Guthrie "Nick") of Winston-Salem, NC, Suzanne Simmons Johnson (David Smith) of Bethania, NC and Lisa Rozzelle Simmons-Weibel (Steve) of Atlanta, GA; her granddaughters, Sarah Johnson Blackwell (Drew) of Winston-Salem and Elizabeth "Beth" Johnson Butler (Gilbert) of Charlottesville, VA; her great grandchildren, Caroline and James Blackwell; and her stepgranddaughters, Sarah, Mary Nicholson, Emily and Heather Weibel.
