He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Long Carter; his children, John Carter of Winston-Salem, NC, Joan Carter Young of Winston-Salem, NC, Michael Carter (Sharon) of Sicklerville, NJ, Michelle Carter Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC, Wendy Carter of Winston-Salem, NC, Warren Carter of McDonough, GA, Kenneth Carter of Winston-Salem, NC, Karen Parker (Len) of Winston-Salem, NC and Stephen Carter of Greensboro, NC; his siblings, Doris Williams, James Carter (Lilerwease), Joseph Carter (Mary) of Raleigh, NC and Barbara Payne; and his brother-in-law Wallace Crumblin (Nellie) of Pfafftown, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; other relatives and friends.
