He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Blackmon, Sr.; and his son Michael. He is survived by: his mother Helen T. Blackmon; his son Marlon; his brother Marvin Blackmon, Jr. (Naomi) of Winston-Salem, NC; his aunt Louise T. McCullough; his cousin Carolyn Henderson (Harry); his niece Monica Johnson (Marques); his great-nieces, Lauren, Ava and Zoe; and his friend Janice Kellum. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
