She was predeceased by: her parents, John Quay Reece and Mildred Sink Reece; and her brother Stanley Reece. She is survived by: her husband Stanley "Stan" Michael Hicks; her children, Shannon Hicks (Michelle) of Greensboro and Marcy Hicks Dennis (Chad) of Thomasville; her grandchildren, Conan Dennis and Lane Hicks; her sister Jeanette Upton of High Point; and her aunts, Peggy Adams, Jewel Manning and Josephine Weavil. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
