He was predeceased by: his parents, Jordan Deane and Margaret Deane. He is survived by: his wife Patty Deane; his children, John Deane of Winston Salem, NC, Chris Deane (Lisa) of Greer, SC, Tricia Thompson (Kevin) of Parrish, FL and Stephanie Spoon (Tony) of Winston Salem, NC; his sister Susan Barker (Billy) of Portsmouth, VA; his grandchildren, Mark Leach, Meaghan, Madison Thompson, Jordan, Emylie Deane and Kaylin Spoon; his great grandchildren, Parker, Sofie and Mila Leach; and his nieces, Melissa, Lindsay and Emily.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
