He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Shields and Vera Shields. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Snyder Shields; his son Keith Shields (Jodi); his grandchildren, Chad Bryant (Heather), Randall Shields (Ashley), Brittany Mitchell (Joe) and Amanda Whaley (Burke); his stepbrother Jerry Hunsucker; and his sister-in-law Debby. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
The family would like to convey their gratitude to the staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and request donations be sent to Trellis Supportive Care, in lieu of flowers.
