He is survived by: his wife Lillie Shepard; his daughters, Alicia Shepard of Winston-Salem, NC, Hali Shepard of Cleveland, OH, Lisa Hickman of Winston-Salem, NC and Lakea Shepard of Houston, TX; his sister Edith Hayes (Robert); his grandchildren, Ajai Adams, Ajadin Adams, Jamael Hayes, Tonia Coleman, Navre Pinkney and Emanuel Hickman; and his great grandchild Tremaine Coleman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many life-long friends.
