It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delores Mackey Lomax of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Inez Tate and Robert Mackey; her husband Jimmy Lomax; and her brother Walter Tate. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Coleman, Cynthia Jones, Robert Bell, Stephania Bell and Jimmy Lomax Jr. (Ann); her grandchildren, Michael Noble Jr., Waynetta Coleman-Nunn (Mike), Ce'Darius Noble, Cedric Myers, Nijah Bowman, Barry Bowman, Jr., Shamanda Bell, Chris Bell and Robert Bell, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Jasiyah Coleman, Calvin Moore, Jr., Alessandra Lavin, Darrien Stevenson, Adrien Stevenson and Ryien Stevenson; her siblings, Eva Mae Tate, Johnny Mackey (Gwendolyn) and Larenzo Tate; her daughter Cheryl Carter; and her close friend Charlene Woods. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
